To assist educators in learning how to use the Divisional computerized report card software, the following on-line tutorials have been created. Make certain to set your monitor resolution to a minimum of 800 x 600 although 1024 x 768 is ideal. Click on the links below which provide on-line training using a  "view and do" process without the need to print manuals.

The following Viewlet tutorials are listed in order based on the needs of teachers beginning to use the Elementary Report Card software. An alternative presentation is offered through the above "Flowchart" link which gives readers a visual clue or "big picture" of the computerized reporting process. One may click on certain flowchart symbols to activate appropriate Viewlet tutorials.

ELEMENTARY REPORT CARD TUTORIALS:
Where should one begin?

A yellow and green colour coding process used in the "Report Support" upgrades section to help direct users to the appropriate areas.  The yellow areas below provides former Elementary Report Card users with  a quick overview of the updates or improvements which have been made to last year's software. This yellow section should get the experienced report card users "up and running" in a minimum of time and effort.

The green area below provides a much more expansive list of tutorials to help new users become proficient using the Elementary Repot Card software.

Where should one begin?  Definitely former users should start by examining the resources offered in the yellow section. If unfamiliar with Viewlet training movies, begin with the introductory "What is a Viewlet?" tutorial to understand this new on-line training mechanism and proceed through the "improvement" tutorial(s) in sequence.  New users, on the other hand, should immediately skip to the green section below which contains the more expansive list of tutorials in order to gain a complete understanding of the way in which this software works.

CURRENT YEAR:
2004-05 Improvements

FORMER USERS:

The following  quick overview of the 2004-05 enhancements to the Elementary Report Card software is presented in this yellow frame to help former users get operational quickly.

This initial tutorial will provide one with an understanding of how to control and use Viewlets for on-line training.  Former users of last year's Elementary Report Card software, should then investigate the following single Viewlet movie ( I #1) which highlights three  improvements made for the 2004-05 school year.

T #1 - What is a Viewlet?
