Wolseley School Building Project 
Chronology of Events

Sep 1997       Wolseley School Building Project is identified as a priority in the Division’s 5 year Capital Building Plan.

Mar 1998       Parent Building Committee is formed consisting of school parents and area residents.

Nov 1998      Community input is elicited as to whether they want a renovated building and an addition or a new school building. Community meeting in the school is held and a survey distributed throughout the community. 

Jan 1999         Survey results show 85% of surveys favor a renovation and addition.

Feb 1999    School Division Board supports the recommendations of the Wolseley School Community Building Committee to renovate and add on.

Feb 2000       The Division submits to the Public Schools Finance Board a notice of intent for the building project.

Sep 2001       Drew Caldwell, Minister Of Education, announces the funding approval for the project at the school.

Sep 2001       Wolseley School is listed as a Grade lll Building on the Buildings Conservation as recommended by the Historical Buildings Committee.
