Applications will be considered in the order received and as space is available following the initial placement above and in the following order of priority:

  1. Students in the school catchment area which is the area boarded by Portage Ave. and the Assiniboine River, and stretches along Wolseley Ave. from Garfield St. to Raglan Rd., continuing beyond Omand Park along Wolseley Ave. West to St. James St.

  2. Division students outside of the school catchment area;

  3. Non-resident students (until September 30). Schools of Choice Application must accompany Registration Form.

Please know that students residing out of the catchment area will be placed on a wait list. Consideration will be given to students from outside the catchment area, after all catchment area students have had an opportunity to be registered and be placed in a program.

*NURSERY CHILDREN MUST BE 4 YEARS OLD BY DECEMBER 31
*KINDERGARTEN CHILDREN MUST BE 5 YEARS OLD BY DECEMBER 31

The Nursery Program is an eight month program that will start at the beginning of the school year and will run through to the beginning of May.   The Kindergarten Program runs for the full school year.

Our N/K enrollment tends to fluctuate year by year.  For the past several years, we have had combined Nursery and Kindergarten classes in the morning and afternoon.  We will attempt to maintain both a morning and afternoon Nursery/Kindergarten program for next year, but parents should not make critical plans based on this assumption without checking with the office.

We welcome your requests for a morning or afternoon program.  However, we cannot guarantee that your request can be accommodated.  Arrangements will be made for all new students & parents/guardians to meet with the principal.

Students from the Wolseley catchment area have priority placement over students not currently residing within our boundaries. The order of priority is:

·
students in the Wolseley School catchment area
·
Division students outside the Wolseley School's catchment area
·
non-resident students (there is a fee for the Nursery Program for non-resident students)

Please know that students residing out of the catchment area will be placed on a wait. Consideration will be given to students from outside the catchment area, after all catchment area students have had an opportunity to be registered and placed in the morning or afternoon program.

PLEASE NOTE:  Once a child has been accepted at the school it is not necessary to complete a new registration form for the next school year.  Parents of Kindergarten children interested in entering their child(ren) in our multi-age or alternative programs are asked to speak with the Principal.
