Greetings from the Family Room - January 2008

Welcome Back!

What is the Family Room all about?

A circle of parents who provide support for each other to strengthen our families and to enhance learning for our children.

A circle of parents who provide support and guidance for our school and to enhance learning for our children.

How do we do this?

Ensure a SAFE place for EVERY parent in this school to come for rest, renewal and resources.

Our circle is safe because we RESPECT every parent in the circle, and their right to be here.

We recognize the COURAGE each has to raise their families in these difficult times.

We HONOUR each other’s strengths.

We have HUMILITY to ask for guidance from each other.

We have the COURAGE to speak our TRUTH, but always in the the spirit of LOVE.

We grow in WISDOM – knowing when to speak, and HUMILITY – knowing that

“It does not require many words to speak the truth”. TRUTH needs no defence.

Our Family Room is a CIRCLE – our COMMUNITY.
