Welcome to the pre-calculus stream of Mathmatics at the Winnipeg Adult Education Centre. The fact that you are taking this course means that you are probably a motivated individual who is planning to take some type of post-secondary education. We wish you all the best in your travels. These pages also assume that you plan to head on to Pre-Calculus 40S, either here or at another institution.

Not to freak you out, but you are about to take some of the most challenging material you have seen in school to date. Keep this in mind when you move through the course, and remember to pursue avenues to help. Some places you can go for help are:

  • Your Teacher: Your teacher is the first and best resource for help. Ask questions in class, and after class - make sure you put in every effort to understand the material the first time.
  • Your Notes: Keep careful notes of the in-class examples, as these will be invaluable to refer to as you work on your assignments.
  • Remedials: Ask your teacher for a remedial schedule. If you are stuck on a specific question, a teacher at the remedial table can help you.
