| A Message from Our New Principal,
Gary Comack
Welcome!!
The 2008-2009 school year has begun. We are very excited about the new partnerships we have that allow students to learn in a variety of learning environments. The main campus at 310 Vaughan is extremely busy with over 850 students actively engaged in their futures.
In addition, our three centres (River Osborne Off Campus, Kaakiyow li moond likol and Taking Charge) are all registering students. The folks at 700 Elgin, our fabulous Basic Literacy program, are off to a great start.
We are also happy with the number of students working hard at the Adolescent Parent Centre.
Our English as an Additional Language program kicks off classes September 8th, with increased numbers in both the day and evening classes.
All these locations and programs continue to provide adult learners with the range of learning opportunities that will allow them to move forward in achieving their goals.
We also welcome a number of new staff and look forward to their success working with students.
The Winnipeg Adult Education Centre provides students with the opportunities to achieve academic success and personal growth in a mature adult environment.
Please refer to our community report for more details on our successes from 2007-2008. Click here for that report in Microsoft Word form.
