Pirate captains of crews that have participated in the "T.H.I.N.K. - Treasure Hunt, Internet 'n' Kids" project, may wish to print participation certificates for each of their crew members. Since the T.H.I.N.K. certificate will be printed using your browser software, some may wish to eliminate the title, URL, date and time from the certificate header and footer prior to printing out a master. If you are able to gain access to control elements in your browser software these items can be removed for printing the certificate using the following directions: Netscape - Select the "File/Page Setup" menu items. Remove the check marks (by clicking on the box) from the Header and Footer as indicated below:
Once the "pirate parchment" is printed, make certain to return to this area and re-set the checkmarks as they were originally. Internet Explorer - Select the "File/Page Setup" menu items. Remove the following codes from the Header and Footer fields.
If you are reluctant to remove these codes, for fear of not being able to re-enter them correctly, then you may prefer to simply leave the header and footer codes intact, print a master certificate and then "white out" the offending characters in the footer and header of the printed parchment. To print up your certificate, click on the link below and when the image appears, select the "File/Print" menu items.
