This link will take you to the smart board site where you can download the notebook software for your home computer.
You will need about 620 MB for the Notebook software (116 MB) as well as the full Gallery for Educators (500 MB). I would recommend the full Gallery for Educators if you have the room on your hard drive. This will give you a lessons, pictures and various other resources for creating and modifying Notebook presentations.

Click on the download link for: SMART Board software 9.7 - complete installation with service pack 1
Watch for a yellow bar that may pop up at the top of your Internet window. Click on it and choose Download File.
Do not register online.
It will automatically begin the installation proces for the Essential for Educators Gallery. A screen will open asking you which categories you want to install. Check the top box to choose them all or check the ones that make sense for you.
You should now have an icon for Smart Notebook on your desktop. Click it to open the Notebook software. You can now create lessons. Download lessons from the Internet such as those from the South District SMART Board site
