On November 8, the A3 girls went out to play Volleyball. They were nervous but also excited. Their coaches knew that they had done their best to help the team improve. As our
players’ warm-up, the crowd of the people who came out to watch grew. The girls practiced their serves and did some drills. As play began, they found that they had some competitive opponents. However, as they tried their best, they got better.
As you know there are two A3 girls teams. Mrs. Kmet’s team won their last game against Sargent Park. The scores were 25-21, 25-17, and 13-25. Mrs. Mulholland’s team won their first game against that school. The scores were 25-9, 15-25, and 21-25.
The coaches, had this to say about the team and the games.
“The season is going really great. The girls really learned a lot, also their skills have improved. They all want to play the game. Their best opponents are John Henderson, Shamrock and Sargent Park. All of the schools are really good. The difference between our last year's team and this year’s team is the way they played. Last year we had a lot of good servers but, this year our players a
re more skilled overall. We think that it’s because we changed the way we taught them just like every year. We changed it because we learned more about coaching ourselves. Therefore, we trying more things. ”
If you enjoy watching Volleyball, why not actually try it? If you didn't sign up this year, make sure you do next year. So join our school teams, not just volleyball, but all the sports. Don't miss your chance to be a Sonic!
