Owls have fascinated man from time immemorial - to some cultures they are symbols of wisdom, while to others they are harbingers of doom and death. This site shed some light on these mysterious creatures. This site covers a wide variety of penguin photographs including fun facts, video, and audio clips.
AstronomyA superb site when teaching students the concept of night and day. Students can view a map of the earth showing the day and night regions at this exact moment. They can also view the Earth from the Sun, the Moon, the night side of the Earth, above any location on the planet specified by latitude, longitude and altitude, or from a satellite in Earth orbit. Nine Planets Take a multimedia tour of our solar system. Follow your fingers to see where it will lead. All about the solar system. Students collect Solar System trading cards by correctly answering questions. If they don't answer correctly they are directed to a page with information. Information about the solar system is presented at two levels. The first level is basic and simple information. The second level is more comprehensive.
