Ms. Lisa Siemens grade 2/3 students studied poetry and published the following poems.

SUNFLOWER SEEDS

Sunflower seeds on the head look like a million sunspots around the sun eating the sun "munching, lunching along." Au Nguyen Grade 3

RAINDROPS

When little raindrops drop on my car window they look like little tadpoles gliding gliding in the rain. Ngoc Truong Grade 3

SNAILS

Snails crawl like a turtle bringing their home everywhere they go. Snails are slimy and yucky like a worm in the rain. Snails can tell a story under water. Stories about a bunch of bubbles blowing blowing and more blowing. Ngoc Truong Grade 3

THE EARTH

The earth is a marble in space it is riding around the sun like a basketball rolling rolling around the hoop. Cote Parisian Grade 2

A SEASHELL

A seashell is like a top twirling twirling don't twirl it fast or it will be dizzy and when you twirl it it looks like a pretty pink rainbow Kathleen Ma Grade 3

PEOPLE

People are walking back and forth same people walking back and forth back and forth back and forth same same same people Katherine Nguy Grade 3

FEATHER

It looks like a brush dip it in ink and it will turn into a pen. Justin Hamilton Grade 3

TULIPS

Tulips are closing their eyes in the evening. Remember be quiet when tulips are sleeping. Ngoc Truong Grade 3

LADYBUGS

Ladybugs fly into the sky with their polk-a-dot shells opening like flowers blooming. Cote Parisian Grade 3

THE BIRDS

The birds are singing little angels in the sky and a girl and a boy with the angels singing singing so sweet like a butterfly opening ready to sing a song. Melissa Dao Grade 3

GINGER

A little person sitting down crossing his arms thinking about the sea. Ron Abraham Grade 3

Sunflower seeds are so black and small and tiny like a baby monster's teeth. April Harper Grade 2

Singing like rain splashing like lightning thunder roared. Germane Rodillo Grade 3

A POEM

A poem is like a mom
to sing to you
or a dad who could tuck you
in bed at night time
as you close your eyes
and close your eyes
and sleep in the dark
and the night 
close your eyes
and close your eyes.
