Objectives:

1.  Students will work in pairs to capture each other's images with a connectix camera.

2.  Students will import their own images to a published document titled, "If I Was Principal for a Day".

Hardware/Software:  Connectix Camera, QuickPict

Procedure:  Have students sit together as a group on the floor.  Show them the connectix camera attached to the LPT port on the computer.  Demonstrate to the students how to open the desired application.  Write out the script outlining these steps on chart paper to enable students to refer back to.

Next, demonstrate the various menus/tools required to take a snapshot.  Ask the students to work in pairs.  Sit one student in front of the camera while the other one snaps his photo.  Again, write these steps on chart paper to allow students to refer back to.  Save the images.

When the whole class has had their pictures taken, open  the images in a view program such as LView Pro.  Click Edit... Copy.  Ask students to open the document, "If I Was Principal for a Day."  Click Edit... Paste.  Move the image to its desired location.  Print out the document.

Evaluation:
Were students able to capture their partner's image?  Were students able to navigate between programs to copy and paste images?
