Objectives: 1. Students will navigate through various menus to choose font, alignment, image options and printing capabilities. 2. Students will have the opportunity to type in their stories on a computer using a word processing program. Software: Any "word processing" program Procedure: Have students sit together as a group on the floor. Show them a computer keyboard. Point out the process involved to create capital letters, quotation marks, apostrophes, commas, periods, etc. Demonstrate to the students how to open the desired application. Write out the script outlining these steps on chart paper to enable students to refer back to. Next, demonstrate the various menus/tools required to complete a document. For example, show the students the location of font and alignment buttons/menus and how to access it. Again, write these steps on chart paper to allow students to refer back to. Ask students type in their document. Evaluation:
