Objective:
Students will be search for information about life in Europe during the late 1800s and
early 1900s and compile the information into a written report .
Time frame:
3 - 40 minute time periods
Procedure:
Collaborate with the school librarian. Teach students how one can access information
using books, CD Rom's and the internet.
Discuss note taking and the revelence of jotting downimportant information. Read
through books, dictionaries, and encyclopedias.
Introduce students to digital information available on CD Rom's and the internet.
See Technology Lesson 4, Searching the Internet.
For the final class time the students took all the information they had gathered and
compiled it into a written report.
Evaluation:
Were the students able to find information in the library? Could they put that
information into their own language so their peers could understand? Is the
information complete?
