The Hotel Fort Garry
The Hotel Fort Garry was built in 1911 by the Grand Trunk Pacific Railway. It was designed by Ross and MacDonald Architects. They designed it to look like a French chateaux. It is built out of Indiana limestone and Canadian granite. It is fourteen floors high. It was built on the same place where Upper Fort Garry was. It is on Broadway Avenue. It is beautiful inside and has the Crystal Casino in it - Winnipeg's first casino.- Megan Hotomani - |
