The Winnipeg Art Gallery was founded in 1912. It is located near the Legislative Buildings and The Bay. It is on Balmoral Boulevard. When it was built it was called a new and striking building. It is in the shape of a boat. Inside it has all kinds of contemporary, historical, and decorative art. It has the world's largest collection of Inuit art. There are over 10,000 pieces. It has eight galleries. It is a good place for schools to visit. They can view the art and also participate in art classes too. Film, jazz and opera concerts are given on the roof in the summer.- Candice Schroeder - |
