Physical Description

A Horned Eagle has a beak for thrashing and tearing the flesh apart. The head is white because there were other species but they are all extinct. So this creature is called the White Headed Horned Eagle. It is the only species alive.

Adaptations

The Horned Eagle uses its horns on its head for protection against the Rock Dog. It's talons are for catching fish, mice and rats. It lives in a nest up high so the Rock Dog cannot get it.

Habitat

The Horned Eagle live in the Rockies of British Columbia. It builds nests as large as a round coffee table. Once when I was 9, I saw it.

Enemies

The Horned Eagle's only enemy is the Rock Dog. Alone, the Rock Dog cannot catch the Horned Eagle, but if they hunt in packs, like wolves do, they have a better chance of catching the Horned Eagle.
