How Your Mind Looks at Things

Introduction:

 

 

Your eyes will see things but it is your mind with all of its past experiences that will but meaning to what you see. This is true whether it is words you are reading from a textbook or a picture of something you have never seen before.

Task One:

 

Let's start with 4 pictures and we will see what different people see in these pictures

Instructions:

 

  1. Click on the picture link below when the teacher tells you to (start with Picture One)
  2. The teacher will give you 15 seconds to study the picture and then you will click the button at the bottom of the page called "Main".
  3. Then you will click of the the corresponding question page of that picture. When you have answered the question, please return to this page again.
  4. This process will be repeated for all four pictures.
  5. when all class students have completed this task the teacher will review the answers in a group discussion.

Everyone finds their own idea of what the picture is, then with new information they can find other pictures within the first one.

In other words....

As you build your prior knowledge, you can apply it to many more things that you encounter in life!!!
