1. Do you have many places for recreation?
We have a swimming pool called the Kinsmen
Sportplex.
2. Do you live in a city or rural
community?
We live in a city (Moose Jaw).
3. Do you like living in a
Winnipeg community? Why?
I like
living in Moose Jaw because there is almost no crime.
4. What kind of building do you live in?
I live in
a house.
5. What games do you play in your
community?
We play hockey, soccer, football, basketball etc.
6. How do you keep your community safe?
We are all nice and we don’t bully at our school.
We also have a police department in Moose Jaw.
7. How do you have fun in your community?
We go to the movie theatre, Ruckers (Arcade), Castle
games, tobogganing, skating and playing at the park.
8. How long does it take you to get to
the nearest hospital?
It would take about 8- 10 minutes to get to the
hospital from our school by driving.
9. What are some safety rules at your
school?
Our number 1 rule is to keep your hands and feet to
yourself.
10. What types of transportation do you
have in your community?
We have buses and taxis. Most people have a car or truck.
We do not have an airport. The
closet airport is Regina.
11. Where do you get your
food?
We have many grocery stores such as IGA, Superstore,
Wal-Mart, Safeway etc.
12. How do you maintain your roads?
The city of Moose Jaw plows our streets in the winter
and cleans them in the summer.
13. What weather do you have in your
community?
We have 4 seasons.
We have cold winters and hot summers.
14. What do you carry your school
supplies in?
We carry a backpack to school. In the classroom we keep are supplies in a pencil box or a zip lock bag.
15. How do you get to school everyday?
I get to a ride to school. Some walk if they live close to school and others take the
school bus.
16. What kind of school do you go to?
King George is a public school.
17. Were do you get your clothes in your
community?
I usually get my clothes at the Town N Country Mall.
18. What kind of organized sports do you
belong to?
I belong to basketball but there are lots of sports
like wrestling, soccer, hockey, dancing etc.
We also have Guides and Brownies.
19. Do you have 911?
Yes we have 911.
20. Where do you get your water from in your
community?
Water comes from Buffalo Pound Lake where it is filtered and ready for
use in our homes.
21. How do you get to the hospital if you are having
a baby?
A car, van or taxi.
22. What do you learn at school?
In school I learn Social, Science, Math, and Reading.
23. How do you fight fires in your community?
We have fire fighters.
24. What games do you play in your community?
We play jump rope, tag, soccer, basketball, volleyball and many more.
25. How far is the fire station from your house?
The fire station is about 10 minutes drive from my house.
26. What kind of clothes do you wear throughout the
year?
In the spring and summer we like to wear tank tops, shorts, t-shirts and
capri pants. In the fall and winter
we wear long pants, long sleeved shirts and sweaters.
27. How do you get to the hospital in your
community?
We get to the hospital in the car and if you don’t have a car you take
a taxi.
28. How often do you get your teeth taken care in
your community?
Once a year.
