have many places for recreation? 2. Do you
live in a city or rural community? 3. Do you like living in a community? Why? Yes, because it is safe, we live
in a farm, we have lots of friends and lots of places to play. 4. What kind of building do you live in? One student lives in an
apartment. Fifteen students live in
a story house. Two students live in
a duplex and four students live in a trailer. 5. What games do you play in your community? We play soccer, hockey,
basketball, and tag. 6. How do you keep your community safe? We keep our community safe with
rules, block parents and using the services of the police and fire department. 7. How do you have fun in your community? We play games with friends; we
go swimming and play sports inside and outside. 8. How long does it take you to get to the nearest hospital? About one to twenty minutes. 9. What are some safety rules at your school? We have to care about each other
and be fair. We can’t run in the
halls and we can’t throw snow. 10. What types of transportation do you have in your community? We have cars, buses, trucks,
bikes and ski-doos. 11. Where do you get your food? We get our food at Extra Foods
and Co-op. 12. How do you maintain your roads? Our town workers gravel and pave
our roads. 13. What weather do you have in your community? -40C to +35C 14. What do you carry your school supplies in? We carry our school supplies in
our book bags and grocery bags. 15. How do you get to school everyday? A few students are taken to
school by car. Some of us take the
school bus and some others go walking or biking. 16. What kind of school do you go to? We go to an Elementary Community
School. 17. Were do you get your clothes in your community? We get our clothes at SAAN
store, Extra Foods and North Battleford. 18. What kind of organized sports do you belong to? We belong to curling, soccer,
basketball, hockey and baseball teams. 19. Do you have 911? Yes we have 911. 20. Where do you get your water from in your community? We get water for our community
from the Meadow Lake. 21. How do you get to the hospital if you are having a baby? We drive or take an ambulance. 22. What do you learn at school? We learn math, science,
computers, art, social studies, language arts, physical education and dance. 23. How do you fight fires in your community? We have fire fighters. 24. What games do you play in your community? We play video games and board
games. 25. How far is the fire station from your house? The fire station is about 1 to
20 minutes from our houses. 26. What kind of clothes do you wear throughout the year? We wear shorts, t-shirts,
sweaters, winter jackets, ski pants, mitts and toques. 27. How do you get to the hospital in your community? We drive, walk or take the
ambulance. 28. How often do you get your teeth taken care in your community? Once a year we get our teeth taken care in our community.
