  At the beginning of chapter 11 Peter opened the casket.  When Peter opened the casket Annemarie blinked and peered into the casket.  She saw Ellen do the same thing.  When they peered into the casket nobody was there.  Instead of a person it seemed like it was stuffed with folded blankets.

  In the middle of chapter 11 Peter gave the little baby named Rachel a few drops of a drug.  He gave Rachel a few drops so that she wouldn’t make a sound when they went to Sweden. The mother didn’t want anyone to put a drug in her baby.  She said that she promised that the baby wouldn’t cry.  Peter said " We can’t take a chance “ in his firm voice.  He put the dropper into the baby’s tiny mouth and squeezed a few drops on her tongue. She yawed and fell asleep. The mother closed her eyes and cried.

   At the end of chapter 11 Peter looked at his watch and lead the first group to the boat.  Peter said “You, you and you” come with me.  Peter called her mama by her first name Inge.  Peter called her “Mama” before when he was engaged to Lise. Now it’s Inge.
