    In the beginning of the chapter Annemarie and Ellen saw the red roofed barn with a crooked chimney.  The apple tree had a few apples on it. Ellen had said "It’s beautiful." Annemarie had agreed with her. Annemarie remembered when she was a kid and she came out to uncle Henrik’s for the summer.

   In the middle of the chapter 7 Annemarie and Ellen were at the beach looking across to Sweden. Ellen had brought up the fact that she was never that close to water, ever, because her mother had been scared of the water. She said it was too deep and too big. Then Annemarie had made the comment that she went to the harbor.

In the end of the chapter 7 the girls were in the bedroom putting on their P.J's. Annemarie could hear her mother and uncle talking about the news. The door was shut so they could talk about stuff like where she got her bracelet without being heard. Ellen had wanted her parents to be there.
