These are some facts about Lois Lowry.  I’ll start with her birth date.  Her birth date is March 20, 1937 in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Some interesting facts I found about Lois Lowry are: That people say to her “Gee, you don’t look Hawaiian.  Her father was a career army officer.  When I found that out about her it started to race in my mind how cool that is.  Like army brats Lois Lowry doesn’t have a real home because she moved place to place during her growing years.  Lois Lowry went to Tokyo for junior high.  She also went to Brown University at seventeen.  That’s so young.  Lois Lowry left Tokyo when she was nineteen because she was going to get married.  Her marriage didn’t last long but her four children did.  Lois Lowry’s children’s are Alik, Grey, Kristin, and Ben. 

Lois Lowry’s children were scattered here and there in the United States of America.  She began writing stories when her children were kids after going back to college degree. 

Now Lois Lowry lives in Boston.  In Boston she lives in an apartment that overlooks the Charles River.  She hates writing autobiography because it’s not her type of work.  She wishes that she could hire Woody Allen to write her books.

She spent her years in World War 2 with her parents in Pennsylvania. She likes to knit too. Her son died in a plane crash She had four children but one of them died. She was once a contestant on Jeopardy! Her children grew up in Maine.
