Sir Clifford Sifton is a hero because he brought settlers to Manitoba and increased the population of Manitoba. He brought settlers from the Eastern Provinces to the West, so there wouldn't be overcrowding in the East. |
| Early Life: Sir Clifford Sifton was born in Upper Canada north of London, Ont.. He came to Manitoba as a youth. When he was younger his family was John Wright Sifton [Dad], Kate Watkins [Mom], Arthur Lewis [Brother], Sophia [Sister]. He lived 2 km. east of Arva north of London Ontario. He was trained to be a lawyer. |

| Later Life: When he was older his family was Clifford Sifton [son]. Sifton wanted to build a "nation of good farmers. He brought settlers from Eastern Canada to Manitoba. |
| Accomplishments: Sifton was a Minister of the Interior when he was elected a Liberal member of Parliament. He was knighted by the Queen of England for bringing settlers from the East to the West. |
