Lachlan

Once upon a time there was a boy named Tommy. His friends were playing on a small snow bank. When Tommy came he asked them if they wanted to make the snow bank bigger.

 They all asked, “How?”

Tommy said, “Easy! All we need are shovels but where are we going to get shovels?”

“We will ask my dad. He works at the tool company.”

“He does,” said one of the children.

“Yes, he does. Let’s go quickly before the store closes. “

Ten minutes later they came back. ”Now let’s begin,” said Tommy. Day after day they worked on it. It was only ten feet tall. One day Tommy found a big pile of snow. He got his shovel and began to dig. He built it up one foot.

Days and days went on. The next week the snow bank was only 18 feet tall. It was not that big Tommy thought!

The next day Tommy got all of his friends. They began to work on the bank. Tommy and his friends worked on it day after day.

One day all the boys got a cold. It took a week for them to get better. Tommy did not get the cold

Tommy and Mike were the only ones without a cold. They worked on the snow bank. The next day Tommy went outside to play. He slipped and broke his leg and his nose.

The next day Mike got him a picture of the snow bank. It was ten feet bigger. Tommy asked, “How did you do that so fast?”

“All I did was get my brothers to help.”

One year later Tommy finally did it! He finally made a 99 foot snow bank.
