Part 1 - Choose your stocks for investing from the
feature in the Winnipeg Free Press.
 | Study the 2001 "Stock Market Challenge".
There are 8 investment categories. |
 | Use the stock symbol to study the information about
the stock |
 | Select a minimum of 8 stocks to 'buy', one from each
of the 8 investment categories. |
 | You may 'buy' more than one stock from each
investment category. |
Part 2 - Stock Investment - general instructions
- Make an imaginary investment in six stocks, totaling
$100,000.
- Select one stock from each of the 8 investment grouping.
This means that you make a minimum of eight stock
investments.
- Then, think about how much money you want to invest in
each stock.
- The maximum investment in any one stock is $30,000.
- The minimum investment in any one stock is $1,000.
- All stock investments must be made in $1,000 increments.
- Your stock investments must total
$100,000 exactly.
Part 3 - 'Online' to invest and follow stock market
performance
 | Remember that you will make imaginary investments, you
do not make real investments on any web site. |
 | Enter your stock symbol accurately |
 | Find your initial stock purchase price and shares your
money acquired for each stock. |
 | Track and record the daily performance and value of the
stocks. |
