Web Based Learning @ Sargent Park
Grade 8 - Mr. McLean
Art History Project
Web Page  or  Poster

Instructions:
Create a web page or poster documenting the historical details of either:
a) a significant artist or
b) a stylistic movement or period.
If you choose an artist, you should know the movement  and style for the artist .
If you choose a movement, you should know some of the important artists that represent the works in the movement. Many web sites refer to one or the other: artists or movements / periods, but do not connect the two. Be sure to view the information on the Canadian Artists.  Follow the assignment outline given in class to complete the project and meet the performance requirements. If you need to use a search engine, go to the main page of Sargent Park and get to the Search Engine page.

Look at the following Web Based Learning resources and use each section to look at your chosen topic / artist and get all the information. Each of the 6 sections will have additional resources. Know which art period / movement your artist choice represents. Make sure you double check all words for spelling and copying process.

Project References:

Students are required to make citations for all reference sources used in the poster or web page.  Link to the Citing Electronic Sources from Concordia College for information on citing your sources from the internet.

You are not permitted to print images.  All images are copyrighted and are the 'Intellectual Property' of the owner.   Do not print images at home and bring it to school.
