Intermediate event June 5 at 2:00 and 7:00. BBQ June 12. No school June 26. Students dismissed for the summer June 27 at 11:30.

PARENT COUNCIL

Parent Council is a group of concerned parents who work together with school staff to enhance our children's education. All parents who have a child attending Rockwood School are welcome to attend Parent Council meetings.

A lot of what happens in our school happens because of Parent Council.

Parent Council organizes and runs the following:

	Special lunches on early dismissal days
	Parent Lending Library
	Breakfast with Santa
	Teacher Appreciation Week.

We also provide much needed help in all areas of our school - at the June Barbeque, in the computer lab, in the classroom, in the resource room and in the library. Teachers know they only have to ask and we can usually help.

Fundraising comprises a large part of Parent Council, but without it, most Parent Council initiatives would not survive.

We encourage all Rockwood parents to become active members of the Parent Council. Meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m.
