Thank you Mr. Oberman,
from Grade 5
Room 205

Mr. Sheldon Oberman was a welcomed guest to River Elm School for the grade 5's. He not only explained how he wrote his books, but he also brought the articles that he treasured and wrote about, like the prayer shawl. Sheldon also told about his early life and about his experiences up north. The grade 5's were enthusiastic to hear is stories. On the second day of Mr. Oberman's visit, students learned hot to develop better questions. Now the students are practising writing better stories and they are developing better questions in their literature circle time.

The grade 5's also wrote letters to Sheldon Oberman, thanking him and explaining how much they appreciated his visit and what they had learned.

Special people always give their best and we want to wish Sheldon Oberman all the best in his future endeavors. We hope he comes again.

Mrs. Schade,
