and at our school community BBQ on Thursday, June 13, 2002
Mr. Chan, our principal,
once again performed a daring feat!

This year, Mr. Chan did the amazing feat of

Wearing a pink tutu
and
dancing a ballet jazz

all in the name of literacy!!!

Tutu much!
Rudolph Nureyev he's not.  Tom Chan, the wild and crazy principal of River Elm School, donned a tutu and did his own version of ballet last week as a reward for students and parents who read a shopping 2,367,000 pages as part of the school's annual reading challenge.
