As
Teacher-Librarian at River Elm School,
I see my role as an
information communicator
and distributor in a partnership role
with the staff,
students and parents/guardians.
As the River Elm
School Teacher-Librarian,
my main focus is developing literacy.
This is done through the school's various
literacy programs
listed on this page
and throughout the River Elm School Home
Page.
The tools used
to develop literacy are
all available print and non-print
materials such as:
our library's collection of fiction,
non-fiction
and reference materials, paper and pencils,
film, A-V
equipment, the media and computers.
An important resource
which is never forgotten Union Catalogue
is the "human" resources
(experience)
from all staff members,
parents/guardians and
invited guests.
