APPEARANCE

HABITAT
Spotted owl of Western North America live in deep moist coniferous and
wooded canyons. It lives from south-western British Columbian forest to southern
California.
FOOD
The spotted owl mainly eats small rodents, smaller owls, hares, squirrels,
mice and insects. Spotted owls also eat toads that are easy to find at night.
WHY ENDANGERED
The spotted owl lives in the forest of North America. They have became
endangered because the habitat has been destroyed by logging.
WHAT CAN WE DO?
We can help the spotted owl by spotting logging and protecting their
habitat.
The government is limiting logging in large areas on the Pacific Coast in
Washington, and Oregon Northern California.
