Day
4: Ft. Fort Macleod, Head Smashed In, Lundbreck,
After having breakfast in Maple Creek,(muffins, cereal, juice and
milk) we say goodbye to our new friends.
A short trip down the highway and:
We arrive
in Alberta!!
A video later,
(Hunchback of Notre Dame) we arrive in Fort
Macleod for a Subway lunch. Can you estimate the cost
for 32 students and 14 adults to eat at subway. (Subs only, we
brought out our own drinks)
Half an
hour further down the road we arrive at one of the highlights of our
trip, Head Smashed In
This is where aboriginal people used a cliff to chase buffalo over.
We arrived in Lundbreck
A.B. around 5:00 in the afternoon. We went
straight to Lundbreck
Falls. Mr. Johnson and Rick Matheson and their volunteers
provided buffalo burgers, hamburgers, hot dogs and cookies.
WOW!

What do you think these are?
After an hour
of exploring the falls, we gathered at Livingstone
School (notice nearly the same name of schools: David Livingstone
School and Livingstone School. I wonder if there is a
connection. What do you think? Answer) Then
off to an action packed evening at the homes and ranches of the
students in Lundbreck where we were billeted. (Read
about the excellent student reflections)
Over the next few weeks, check out the student websites to read and see
some of their experiences.
