The David Livingstone Story
Told by Patrick Burles:
David Livingstone was a missionary in Africa. He was from England.
One of the local English explorers, a Mr. Palliser went through this area and named some the areas after David Livingstone who he respected highly. That's why we have the Palliser School Division. There is the Livingstone Cemetery, the Livingstone Range, Livingstone Falls and of course, Livingstone School that I go to.
There is a really neat butte close to my home where the Dukhobors settlers (from Russia) were slaughtered.
I wonder if the local Old Man River is named after a famous Old Man from England?
I wonder where the name Lundbreck come from?
