An exceptional site, Canadian or otherwise. Bilingual. This site is a
source of information pertaining to Canadian war time and peacekeeping
efforts. There are many special resources provided for teachers of all
levels in the Youth section
Resources include some video bits about the Battle of the Atlantic and a
tour of Vimy Ridge. Join your students when they visit this site.
CBC 4 Kids
This section provides a brief outline of the major wars that Canada has
been a part of: the South African War, World War I, World War II, the
Korean War, and the Gulf War. War stories, war timeline
Remembrance Day at Gander Academy
One of the easy starting places for teachers and kids on any topic -
Gander Academy. The Remembrance Day page is a good example of their
offerings. This hasn't been updated for 2001 at the time of this message
but most of the links apply still.
