Montrose School Chess Club is open to all
students of our school. If you do not know how to play we will teach you. The
club operates at noon hours two days a cycle, grades 1-3 one day and grades 4-6
on another. Many of the children who play in our chess
club compete at chess tournaments especially for children that are held in
Winnipeg. This year four of the students from Montrose School traveled to
Montreal to represent our school and province at the Canadian Chess Challenge.
