The Winnipeg Police Service has supported this project in principle, although not active on the Migrancy Committee at the present time. The National Crime Prevention Centre, Community Mobilization Initiative, has contributed a grant of $40,000 to the development of this project and GeoConnections has budgeted $80,000. Over 80 organizations and individuals participated in Think Tank I. The ideas and support garnered at this event have been instrumental in the work of this committee. |
