These sculptures are made by grade two students. We had a big bag of small discarded toys in the art room and the inevitable box of junk e.g old toilet roll insides, old cereal boxes etc.

We talked about recycling materials and looked at visuals of art made by other artists out of found objects.

Then the children created their sculptures. A small piece of plywood was used as the base. White glue, tape, and  glue guns were used.

Once the sculptures were finished our art teacher spray painted the entire collection  with gold or silver paint (after school when the children were not in  the building  due to the smell).

Look good, don't they?!
