Administrator’s Message Ms L. Krosney-Principal Mr. J. Millen-Vice Principal Welcome to Lord Nelson School’s website. I am glad you have taken the time to learn more about us and our great learning community. We are a school of approximately 400 eager, respectful learners and 42 staff member. We have Nursery through grade six classrooms as well as a Grade 4 – 6 Special Education Centre and a grade 4 – 6 Learning Assistance Centre. We are dedicated to ensuring success for all learners through differentiated instruction and inclusion. Students master key concepts for all disciplines and learn at their own rate. We have a strong technology component in our school and staff are working hard at using technology in their everyday teaching. A school-wide anti-bullying program is implemented in all classrooms along with virtue teaching that focuses on respect, empathy, self-control and conscience. These programs help to teach our students to become caring and responsible citizens. Together we work hard at creating an environment that fosters respect and responsibility, self-growth and lifelong learning. We have a wonderful Parent Association who work hand-in-hand with the school to create a learning and caring partnership. We have a Parent Center that serves as a way to connect our valuable family members to the school. We always welcome our families into the school and encourage participation in the life of our school. We look forward to working with the staff, students and families of the Lord Nelson community.
