Open Microsoft Works and click on Spreadsheet.
Introduce or review cells in a spreadsheet. Type the word addition in cell A1. Use the
mouse drag to highlight from cell B1 to cell L1. Click on Format. Click on Column Width
and change Column Width to 5. Now type the number 0 to 10 in cells B1 to L1. Next type the
number 0 to 10 in cells A2 to A12. Highlight cells B1 to L1 and change the fotn by
clicking on Format, then Font and Style. Now select a different color and font. Click on
OK.
Next highlight cells A2 to A12 change the font as for cells B1 to L1.
Demonstrate how to add two cells to get a sum, work through several as a group. Students
will complete work on their won while observing and assisting.
