An example of this activity is contained in one Paint file,
GEO1.BMP. For use on a network, this file should installed in a shared, read only
directory on the server (The Winnipeg School Division No. 1 uses S:\2Student)
After launching Paint, students are ready to work. Be sure to have students save the
file with a unique name in another drive.
To save the first time:
Click on File
Click on Save As
Type in a file name
Choose a drive (If you choose a:\ be sure there is a disk in the drive)
OK
This activity makes use of both the tools and colour palette. Students are directed
to write statements of direction. For example: In the space below, draw a red
circle with a blue radius and a green diameter. Label each part.
Students may also wish to include a small solution to the statement.
As mentioned, once all students have created such an activity, a subsequent class can be
used to allow time for students to solve the statements put forth by their classmates.
Utilizing a checklist to note which statements have been attended to may be appropriate.
