Students practiced subtraction by cutting and picking 7 apples off the tree and placing them near the ground. Children wrote number sentences to describe the math problem. Students used the paint roller to color the tree and apples. Students typed below their picture: There were sixteen apples. I picked seven apples. There are nine apples left. 16-7=9
