WHAT’S NEW FOR TODAY!!

ATTENTION GRADE 12’S:  Are you planning on attending the Grad Dinner & Dance & Safe Grad?  Then you MUST complete your verification forms and submit them to the Safe Grad Parent Committee at lunch hour TODAY, Wednesday, May 14th-Friday, May 16th.

 

Did you know that there are hundreds of thousands of people living in the world without shoes?  We are the lucky ones in this world, so we should help them out.  Look for the green boxes outside the office and drop off your new or lightly used pairs of shoes.  Any type will help and will be accepted!  So next week, green boxes, pairs of shoes, donate!  We especially welcome running shoes!

 

WANT TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE… Come and join students from across the city and celebrate the United Way Youth Day of Caring.  If you are interested in participating, please see Leigh-Anne in the resource room (23) for more information.

 

ALL STUDENTS INTERESTED IN PARTICIPATING IN THE TRIP TO COSTA RICA:  See Ms. Murray by Friday, May 16th. There will be a parent meeting to discuss the trip details on Thursday, May 22nd.

 

FESTIVAL THÉÂTRE JEUNESSE:  Cast and Crew please meet briefly in Room 45 on Friday, May 16th at noon.  Please feel free to drop by Room 45 for your props and costumes.

 

ATTENTION YIP MEMBERS:  Please attend a meeting at 12:20 in room 43 on Tuesday, May 20th.  We will be finalizing our presentation for the banquet that evening.

THE UNIVERSITY OF MANITOBA AND THE UNIVERSITY OF WINNIPEG will be holding information sessions for the students attending their school in the fall.  Information will be given regarding first year university including how to register for courses.  The University of Manitoba on Tuesday, May 20th during slots “D” and “E” and University of Winnipeg on Wednesday, May 21st during slots “B” and “C” in the Music Room.  Students must receive permission from their teachers to attend.

 

THE CITY OF WINNIPEG is hiring Program Leaders for Wading Pools, Facilities and Children and Youth Programs. This is an excellent summer job opportunity!  Interested students should see Andrea in the Library for more information.  Application deadline is Friday, June 27th. 

 

LEGION ATHLETIC CAMP:  There are a limited number of $50.00 bursaries available for athletes planning on attending the Legion Athletic Camp. See Ms. Mitt in the gym if you are interested.
