Spanish Grades 9 - 12

The Spanish program provides the skills necessary for further study in Spanish at the
post-secondary level.

Basic Spanish 15G (0.5 Credit) SPHR1G
Do you want to open your mind to a new language, new peoples, and a variety of
cultures? Come learn Spanish! In this course, students will learn to express a variety of basic ideas in Spanish. Oral and written work is required.

Intermediate Spanish 20G SPAR2G
Open your mind and heart to a new language and culture. This is a beginning as well as a continuing course. Through an immersion setting, this course enables students to develop both comprehension and communication skills. Activities include studying Spanish-speaking countries and participation in cultural events.

Advanced Spanish 30S/40S SPAR3S/4S
For those who speak Spanish, these courses will include the study of Spanish-speaking
countries, participation in cultural events and work on written and oral communication skills.
