Grade 9 Handbook for Students and Parents

Course Information and Registration Procedures - Grades 10 - 12

 English Academic Program
    This is the standard high school program outlined by Manitoba Education and Training. It is organized according to the credit system. Two thirds of all students in the school are enrolled in this program.

French Immersion Diploma Program   
    The French Immersion Program promotes functional bilingualism. Students are encouraged to commit themselves to achieve this objective. At the end of four years, successful candidates receive the Winnipeg School Division French Immersion Diploma.

International Baccalaureate Program
    International in perspective and designed for the talented student interested in education for its own sake, this challenging, comprehensive, integrated and highly academic program has practical benefits as well. Students in IB programs around the world follow the same course of studies.
    This is a Winnipeg School Division sponsored program. Students enter at the Grade 10 level. Grade 9 students wishing to enter IB in Grade 10 must take French. Application procedures are explained to all Grade 9 students and parents interested in the program at an orientation meeting held each February.
