On Oct. 5th Ms. Labun and a group of Kelvin students
took a cruise on the research vessel M.V. Namao.

The Lake Winnipeg Research Consortium had just
returned to Gimli from northern Lake Winnipeg where
they were sampling water, invertebrates, plankton
and fish. The students joined them for an afternoon on
Lake Winnipeg as they observed the sampling, listened
to the scientists talk about their work and discussed trends
they have been observing in the lake.

Run in your stockings? No Problem! Kelvin has you covered.
In December the Chemistry classes of Ms. Labun and Ms. Finlay had the opportunity to defy the"no standing on desks" rule while they were synthesizing nylon in the lab.
