MARK BREAKDOWN

The final mark for this course has two components:

1) Term Mark: 70% and 2) Final Exam: 30%

The term marks are based on unit tests, class work, assignments and labs. Missed unit tests and in-class assignments can only be made up if the student can provide a note from their parent or guardian.

*Late assignments will be penalized 10% for the first day, 20% for two days or more. Exceptions will be made in the case of excused absences.

STUDENT RESPONSIBILITIES

· See me if due dates cannot be met

· Bring required materials

· Hand in assignments on time

· Arrive on time (or miss the daily quiz!)

· Respect for others and school property

· Spend time! Reading over notes/making quiz cards is ALWAYS helpful

· Seek Help! Mornings, lunch hours, after school, peer tutoring
