As a student in the 20S Pre Calculus program you should have the following goals:

          - you should learn to value mathematics

          - you should become confident in your mathematical abilities

          - you should develop proficiency in basic skills and an

             understanding of fundamental concepts

          - you should learn to reason mathematically and to think critically

ASSESSMENT -   Midterm Mark: Tests 75% 

                                                       Term Work 25%  (assignments 10%, quizzes

                                                      and mental math 15%)

 -   Final Mark: Cumulative Term 70%, Exam: 30%

-         You must get at least 40% on the final exam and a passing grade to receive the credit

To do well in this course, you should have a good prerequisite mark and good work habits. There will be homework everyday. You are responsible for all exercises and mental math. Good attendance is essential. If an absence is planned (school events, appointments etc.), make arrangements with me before you are away. If it is unforeseen (illness), arrangements must be made the day you return.

Test writing is important and is done approximately every second week. All tests are cumulative. To help you and your parents monitor your progress, you will be required to have your parents sign all tests. Each test must be corrected and signed.

It is your responsibility to get as much help as needed in and out of class time.  If you start experiencing difficulties, come for extra help immediately!  Concerns, let’s talk.
