Provincial Standards Exams:          Semester 1 - Thursday, January 25, 2007

Contents:

Assessment:         Final mark will consist of 70% term and 30% Provincial Exam. Students must write the Provincial exam – not writing it will earn a zero out of 30. Term mark will consist of assignments, labs, quizzes, tests, and work ethic. A major test will be scheduled approximately every two weeks.

General Comments:      This is a very fast moving and demanding course. It is imperative that students attend daily so appointments, etc. should not be scheduled during this class. Extra help is always available – if you do not understand a concept or an assignment, please seek a clarification immediately. I will be available most days Room 50 (Computer room) during lunch for extra help. See the other side of this sheet for comments from other students on how to succeed in this course.

Materials:  Loose-leaf, binder, graph paper, pencils, eraser, ruler, calculator (either a graphing calculator or a scientific calculator will be necessary).
