Mathématiques du Consommateur 30S

 General Information

 This is the second course in the consumer mathematics stream. It is a pre-requisite to the senior 4 course. This course is designed to show students practical applications of mathematics in everyday life. A field trip to a car dealership is usually planned. The students will continue to build a portfolio that will include an updated résumé in French and in English as well as a more in depth look at career choices.

 Evaluation

 Each of the two terms carry a weight of 35% and the final exam has a weight of 30%. Day to day work, calcul rapide and quizzes account for 30% of the mark and tests and projects account for 70%.

 Materials

 The textbook Explorations 11 is used in this course. A scientific calculator and a geometry set are required for certain topics.
